"Cafe Gemini 001"

I've got a thing going on with twins at the moment - so in my head I've opened a cool cafe called "Gemini" where lots of twins meet up.

I think I'll be painting quite a few of them!

This is my personal favourite painting to date, so much so that I've signed it in gold.

Sadly I don't think this one will hang around the studio too long.

Both my cousin and I agreed that from far away, this looks like a vintage photograph in sepia.
Great idea! I'd like to see how it goes and how you progress.

Hi - actually, you're not a million miles from the truth...

..I always seal my sketch to the canvas, so it doesn't "lift" and muddy the lighter shades, with raw sienna acrylic (sepia?) and due to the oils transpparency the whole gets that slight cast - for free!

wow! this is incredible! I like this cafe idea :) Nice as always!! Love it!

haha i bought some oil paints like u suggested. I got a white and a black :) now ive just got to wait to get some turps :D Wish me luck! I'll need it

..so pleased you got the oils. my friend Linda ([link]) recently did the same - she's having great fun and really found a new lease of life for her art. I hope you do too and if you need any advice just ask.

oil is the key, it's so blendable for quite some time. the oils i use are workable for about 3 or 4 days and that gets you out of all sorts of fixes...
